Jeanne Beck is an international educator with a passion for connecting with people from all over the world.  After graduating from the University of Missouri with bachelor's degrees in East Asian Studies and Education, and studying abroad in South Korea and Japan, she joined the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program and spent three years teaching English at two high schools in Iida City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, concurrently earning a master's degree in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL). She now works for the University of Missouri's International Center where she helps students study abroad all over the world, and is a volunteer with the Asian Affairs Center, Girl Scouts, and now Brighter Thailand!

Bianca Aaron works as the Media and Web Communication Director for Brighter Thailand. She is currently a senior at the University of Missouri, pursuing a bachelor's in psychology, a bachelor's in broadcast journalism, and has attained a minor in Spanish. Bianca is also a Ronald E. McNair Scholar and is conducting counseling psychology research pertaining to the effects of language brokering (informal translating and interpreting) on Latina adolescents and various aspects of their lives. As a Columbia native, Bianca takes strides to stay in touch and involved with the local community. In 2009, she volunteered as a news radio disc jockey for KOPN, a community radio station, and she served as a reporter for KBIA, another community radio station, in 2010. Additionally, she was a reporter and production assistant for KOMU 8 News, a university-owned television news station and local NBC news affiliate.

Ms. Megan Batal  is currently our recruiting manager. She was an American Ambassador with Brighter Thailand Foundation in October 2011. After her first trip to Thailand, she continues to be involved and became Brighter Thailand's staff. She finished her undergraduate degrees in International Business Management, International Studies, and Spanish. Since beginning college, Megan has studied abroad in Spain where she studied Spanish language and culture, and has traveled to South Korea to teach English. She also taught an intensive English camp at the Asian Affairs Center in 2009. After serving as a volunteer English teacher for refugees and immigrants through Columbia Public Schools, she became interested in cultural integration. As a result, she began working as an intern for the Refugee and Immigration Services in Columbia, Missouri.

Ngoc Vo is an instructional designer and web design consultant. She has been assisting Brighter Thailand Foundation since early 2011. She is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Architectural Studies at the University of Missouri, Columbia. She’s interested in the design and evaluation of the virtual environment to support learning activities. She also have extensive experience in usability of web-applications. Ngoc Vo has a M.Ed in learning system design and development and an B.A in English. She is currently developing a learning environment for writing activities in Second Life with University of Missouri, St.Louis; at the same time, conducting extensive evaluations of different mediums used in distance learning.
